General Questions and Answers Section

Through his years of presenting at health seminars and corporate trainings, Randall Grant, has compiled a collection of commonly asked questions that he has received. Each question is followed by the answers he provided to the inquiring party.

About Cell Repair

Q:  Do Total Digestion or Cell Repair contain any dairy, sugar, wheat, soy or corn?

A: There is no dairy, sugar, wheat, soy or corn in the Total Digestion, however wheat germ is in a proprietary blend in the new Cell Repair.

Q:  Is the Selenium in the Cell Repair?

A: Selenium is added as the amino acid complex.

Q:  Why is it recommended to take Cell Repair in the morning and evening instead of with meals?

A: Cell Repair is effective either with food or on an empty stomach.  However, slightly better absorption may occur without food for some patients.

Q:  Is there Selenium in the Cell Repair?

A:  Yes! Selenium is an amino acid complex form, which are naturally occurring (as in whole foods) or organic.

Q:  Dose Total Digestion, Cell Repair, and Intestinal-Cleanse and Repair contain any vitamin A or vitamin A derivatives?

A: There is no vitamin A or vitamin A derivatives in Total Digestion or Intestinal Cleanse and Repair but the new Cell Repair has several natural forms of plant based Vitamin A ingredients.

Q:  Are there any beta carotenes in the Cell Repair?

A: There is no beta carotene in Cell Repair.  The ingredients in this formula are far more effective than beta carotene.

Q:  What is the maximum amount of Cell Repair absorbable per day?  Is there a limit?

A: We are not aware of an absorption limit for Cell Repair.  However, tissue saturation for Cell Repair begins to occur at about 1 capsule per day per 10 lb. of body weight.  Many Health Professionals recommend giving high doses of Cell Repair in the initial stages of acute conditions and then reducing the dose as soon as benefit is experienced.

About Digestion Formula

Q:  Why is there no sucrase in Divine Nature’s Total Digestion Formula?

A: Invertase is the same enzyme as sucrase.

Q:  What are some specific articles that give information proving that enzyme supplements are effective – especially Total Digestion and Fat Sugar Enzymes?

A: We suggest anyone interested in understanding how enzyme supplementation is beneficial read “Enzyme Nutrition” by Dr. Edward Howell.  Until an individual understands and accepts the enzyme concept, there is little chance that they will be convinced that supplementation is effective.

Q:  What is the base for the Digestion Formula?  Is it a rice starch base?

A: We do not use a “base” in any of our products.  Total Digestion contains only the ingredients which are on the label, except for approximately 3% beet fiber.

Q:  Will the lipase in Total Digestion interfere with the body’s natural process of producing and using lipase?

A: Plant enzymes do their work in the upper stomach and do not harm the body’s ability to make its own enzymes.

Q:  Is it possible that Total Digestion, could cause bloating?

A: Total Digestion can cause bloating if the patient stays on a junk food diet.

Q:  Is there any gluten or casein in Total Digestion?

A: There is no gluten or casein in Total Digestion.

Q:  Is there any corn gluten or rice gluten in Total Digestion?

A: There is no gluten from any source in Total Digestion.

Q:  Is there any bromelin enzyme in Total Digestion Formula?  If not, why not?

A: Bromelin (or bromelain) is an enzyme which has only protein-digesting activity and does not effectively replace the enzymes lost in the cooking and processing of food.

About Enzymes

Q:  A recent article stated that not all enzymes taken as supplementation actually remain as enzymes once they reach the stomach and that often they break down into amino acid form.  Do the Divine Nature’s Enzymes break down into amino acids?

A: It is true that enzymes of animal origin break down early in the digestive system, but this is not true of our plant based enzymes.

Q:  If a digestive enzyme is a polypeptide, wouldn’t it be broken down in the stomach before it can be of any use to the body?

A: Enzymes are not polypeptides – they are whole proteins.  Some proteins are broken down in the stomach and others are not.  Our plant based enzymes are not.

Q:  Will the cold filtering process, which kills bacteria in milk, also destroy enzymes?  If the enzyme activity is not affected, then is cold filtered milk an alternative to raw milk?

A: There is no filtering process which would destroy enzymes, however, we are not familiar with the process to which you refer.

Q:  Are there any contraindications for taking any of the enzyme based products with time-release medications?

A: Time-release coatings depend on the properties of compounds called phthalates, which are sensitive to pH in the intestine.  None of the enzyme-based products affect this, but there may be a possibility of early activation of the time-release coating by oxy-pure which has an alkalizing influence.

Q:  Would enzymes be inhibited by the intake of seeds (apple, pumpkin, etc.)?

A: Raw seeds and nuts contain higher levels of enzyme inhibitors than most foods.  Dr. Edward Howell recommended lightly toasting the nuts and seeds to denature the enzyme inhibitors.

Q:  What references do you have that support that microwaving destroys enzymes?

A: To our knowledge, there is no evidence that microwave cooking destroys enzymes any worse than other cooking methods.  Dr. Edward Howell was investigating this subject at the time of his death in 1988.  Given the mechanism by which microwave heating transfers energy, namely, excitation of bonding electrons, it is highly likely that denaturing of enzyme activity (which is very sensitive to the tertiary structure of the enzyme protein molecule) would occur quickly.

Q:  What is a CATU or HUT vs. a Mg as a measurement?  How do they compare?

A: It is unethical to state the amount of an enzyme in milligrams.  Enzymes are measured by their activity which is stated in standard activity units.  We use the most scientifically based system of units taken from the Food Chemical Codex.  CATU is an abbreviation for Catalase Units and HUT stands for Hemoglobin Units-Tyrosine.

Q:  Does dehydrating food at low temperature destroy the enzymes?

A: Dehydrating foods at low temperatures is not known to have any effect on enzymes.  To make sure there is no effect, most people do their dehydrating at body temperature or lower.

Q:  How does an international unit of Lipase (USP) compare to a LU?

A: There is no valid way to make a comparison.  The USP test uses different substrate and is performed under very alkaline conditions.  No comparison exists.

Q:  Enzymes are extremely sensitive to any type of processing.  Why is Divine Nature’s effective and how have you been able to contain and stabilize them?

A: Divine Nature is very familiar with the correct processing of enzymes.  It is based on sound technology developed by the father of enzyme nutrition – Dr. Edward Howell.

Q:  What is Cellulase and what is its purpose?

A: Cellulase is an enzyme which increases soluble fiber and helps release nutrients from high fiber foods.

Q:  What is Invertase and what is its purpose?

A: Invertase is the same enzyme as Sucrase.

Q:  What is Brinase?

A: Brinase is a particular type of protease enzyme.

Q:  Is there any proof that we are born with a limited supply of enzymes as in a “bank account”?

A: This is an analogy used by Dr. Edward Howell to illustrate the limited ability of the human body to synthesize the same enzyme repeatedly.  A person’s “bank account” supply of enzymes is as limited as that individual’s ability to synthesize a particular enzyme.  Theoretically, the more your body has to produce a particular enzyme, the more likely its ability to produce that enzyme will “wear out” over time.  When you provide your body with enzymes via your diet, your body does not have to pull from its own metabolic enzyme stores or synthesize its own enzymes.

Q:  Do any of the Divine Nature’s products contain the same enzyme found in Beano (a gas aid product)?

A: Our Digestion Formula does contain the Beano enzyme (alpha-galactosidase).  Many people find that they have less trouble with gas-forming foods after taking Total Digestion for a few weeks.

Q:  From what sources are the Divine Nature’s enzymes derived?

A: The enzymes are derived from fermentation of vegetable cell cultures using all organic ingredients.

Q:  Please give some specific information regarding how Divine Nature’s enzymes are produced, plant sources and the production of ingredients like protease.

A: Enzymes are produced by fermentation, utilizing cell cultures of organisms such as A.  oryzae, B.  subtilis and T. reesi.  The enzymes, which are soluble, are separated from the organism and nutrient by repeated micro filtration.  The resulting purified enzyme solution is freeze-dried to reduce it to a powder for use as an ingredient in our products.  Individual enzymes, such as protease, are produced by selection of the strain of organism and the fermentation conditions.

Q:  From what types of plants are Divine Nature’s enzymes derived?

A: Divine Nature’s enzymes are fermented utilizing cell cultures of organisms such as A. oryzae, B. subtilis and T. reesei.

Q:  Does hydrochloric acid destroy enzymes?

A: Hydrochloric acid denatures some enzymes, such as pancreatic enzymes, but not plant-based enzymes.

Q:  Please provide reference material on enzyme therapy.

A: Recommended reading:

  1. Enzyme Therapy by M. Wolf and K Ransberger (New York:  Vantage Press 1972). This book is out of print, but some libraries have it.
  2. Enzymes, The Fountain of Life by D.A. Lopez, R.M. Williams and M. Miehlke (Charleston, SC:  Neville Press, 1994)

Q:  What is the general chemical composition of an enzyme?

A: All enzymes are proteins and have the general approximate formulas of 40% carbon, 8% hydrogen, 16% nitrogen and 36% oxygen.  Most enzymes have a molecular weight in excess of 100,000 Daltons.

Q:  What happens when a body runs out of enzymes?  Does it try to absorb even if it is harmful to the body?

A: If enzymes are not supplied by the food you eat or by supplementation, the body will use metabolic enzymes intended to keep body functions going.  This leaves fewer enzymes to run the body which over time will stress the organs and possibly lead to a number of other problems.  Total inability of the body to produce metabolic enzymes to run the body results in breakdown of the machine (death).

Q:  Are any essential oils lost when the enzymes are produced?

A: Enzymes are produced by fermentation utilizing white rice flour as a nutrient.  Other than a minor amount of consumption of fatty acids as an energy source for this fermentation, there is no change in essential oils.

About General Health

Q:  Why is CO2 bad for you?

A: Carbonation in drinks (a) kills friendly bacteria, (b) disturbs the proper pH in the intestine by neutralizing HCL acid and (c) inhibits enzymes.

Q:  Certain speakers talk about a Velcro effect of a DDS acidophilus in the intestine.  Can you provide any information about this?

A: There is no such thing as a Velcro effect with acidophilus.  That term may have been   used as a figure of speech.

Q:  Divine Nature has said that unstable glutamine produces toxic ammonia in the body.  What does ammonia do?

A: According to Modern Nutrition In Health and Disease (Shils, Olson and Shike), the symptoms of ammonia intoxication are:  loss of appetite, vomiting, lethargy, muscle spasm, irritability, respiratory distress, convulsions and coma.

Q:  Why are phenol-kitoneric and phenol-alanines (such as those contained in NutraSweet) bad for you?

A: NutraSweet decomposes in the body to form phenylalanine which puts stress on the kidneys for a significant portion of the population.

Q:  How does Alpha Tocopherol cause bone deficiency?

A: Purified tocopherols in high concentration, like many pure compounds, form stable complexes with minerals, thus they bond tightly to the minerals and carry them out of the body.

Q:  What is DHEA?

A: DHEA is an acronym for dihydroepiandosterone.  It is a hormonally active compound which is found in some plants, notably diascorea (Mexican wild yam).  It is known to support human hormone function especially in females.

Q:  What information can you provide about a drug recently approved by the FDA called Dexfenfluramine?

A: This drug supposedly addresses weight loss.  It suppresses neurotransmitters and may cause serious depression.

Q:  Is there a recommended amount of intake for protein for an average individual?

A: The recommended intake of dietary protein for metabolic maintenance in the adult is 0.8 grams per day per kilogram of body weight.  This means that a 150 lb. individual requires about 55 grams of protein per day.  Athletic activity, illness and injury raise the protein requirement dramatically.  For example, a performance athlete may require more than 2 grams per kg of body weight.  At 150 lb., this translates to about 150 grams of protein per day.  The protein requirement is more sufficiently met by high biological value protein foods, such proteabolic ion-exchanged whey protein.

Q:  What is Divine Nature’s opinion of phytochemicals?

A: The phytochemicals from green, leafy vegetables are very beneficial for eye health.  These foods should be high in the diet for many good health-related reasons.

Q:  A lot of individuals refer to ascorbic acid as vitamin C.  Please give a reference to dispute this.

A: Refer to Dr. Richard Murray’s “Biomedical Nitty-Gritty”.

Q:  How does D alpha-tocopheral compare to synthetics?  Please provide documentation.

A: Refer to Dr. Richard Murray’s “Biomedical Nitty-Gritty”.

Q:  Is it all right to take creatine in its pure form or should it be taken with other amino acids?

A: Creatine is frequently taken as a supplement in its pure form with no known adverse effects..

Q:  Is it possible to overdose on creatine?

A: There is no known toxic level of creatine.  Intakes higher than ½ gram twice a day are reported as safe.

Q:  Where does creatine come from?

A: Creatine is synthesized in a laboratory from amino acids.

Q:  What are the effects of creatine?

A: In muscle tissue, creatine is converted to phosphocreatine, which is the principle source of short-term energy in the muscle.

About Health Professionals

Q:  Does Divine Nature have a specific policy on the training of a Health Professional?

A: Scope training for Health Professionals may be achieved in a number of ways. Divine Nature has available a Scope Training Manual which a Health Professional may purchase.  This system will provide a good understanding of the nutritional approaches.  We also offer a Microscopy Training which is specifically designed to teach Health Professionals the proper procedure for completing a Live Blood Demonstration as part of a complete nutritional evaluation.  The seminar includes a session of product training. Randy Grant has been training Health Professionals for over 17 years and has traveled all over the world doing trainings and seminars.

Q:  Are Health Practitioners able to get Medicare reimbursement for evaluations or Divine Nature’s products?

A: We are not currently aware of any Medicare reimbursement for our products and we do not do any insurance billing.  However, more and more insurance companies are covering alternative health treatments.  Check with the individual insurance companies.

About Minerals

Q:  Concerning the mineral content in the Divine Nature’s products – please provide documentation that states the number of minerals included.

A: The labels on the Divine Nature’s Nutritional products state the mineral content supplied by amino acid chelates in the products.  In addition, whole food complexes supply the following naturally occurring mineral:  calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, chloride, iron, zinc, copper, selenium, chromium, iodine, manganese, molybdenum, fluorine, nickel, silicon, vanadium, boron and cobalt.

Q:  What is a colloidal mineral?

A: Colloidal minerals are very small insoluble particles of shale (clay-like earth substance) suspended in an acid solution.  There is no research which supports that it can be used by the body.  Albion amino acid chelated minerals have been proven by research to be well utilized by the body – right down to the cellular level.

Q:  Why should we not look to colloidal minerals as our source for mineral?

A: There are no published materials which support the claim that colloidal minerals contain high amounts of minerals which have a role in human nutrition and therefore are toxic.  On the other hand, Albion’s amino acid chelated minerals have been thoroughly researched and shown to be well utilized in the body.  We recommend the following references:  (a) Asmead, H.D. The Roles of Amino Acid Chelates in Animal Nutrition.  Noyes Publications, Park Ridge, New Jersey (1993); (b) Ashmead, H.D. et al, Intestinal Absorption of Metal Ions and Chelates.  Charles C. Thomas, Springfield, III.  (1985)

Q:  Colloidal minerals are claimed to have 98% absorbency.  How does this compare with the absorbency of the Divine Nature’s products with the Divine Nature’s Blend Delivery System.

A: Wild claims are made about colloidal minerals as well as other mineral forms.  There is simply no proof of these claims.  On the other hand, we have scientific studies and patents which show that Albion amino acid chelates are not only the best absorbed form of mineral supplement, but the best utilized at the cellular level.

Q:  What is the best source of calcium?  How much calcium would an active adult require?

A: The best sources of calcium are kale and spinach.  Supplemental calcium is best obtained from amino acid chelates.  An active adult needs approximately 200 milligrams of calcium at the cellular level from all sources daily to replace that which is lost in perspiration and elimination.

Q:  From what sources do the minerals in the Divine Nature’s products come?

A: The minerals in the Divine Nature’s products are mined and then converted to organic form by chemically combining which amino acids by the patented Albion process.

Q:  How does Divine Nature’s “Chelate” their minerals and how is this superior to other companies?

A: Divine Nature uses Albion’s patented amino acid chelated minerals exclusively.  Our product formulation has painstakingly made sure that each mineral is chelated with the amino acid which makes it as bio-available as possible.  This is our unique Nature’s -Blend.

Q:  Are minerals such as Iron Glycinate or Asparatate in chelated form?  How is chelation distinguished in mineral names?

A: Any mineral which is a true amino acid chelate will show the patent #4830716 on the label.  Other products are only mixtures of amino acids and minerals and are not true chelates.  They also will not have the letter’s ATE on the end of the word which generally means synthetic forms of the formula.

Q:  What source or sources does Divine Nature use for calcium?

A: All calcium in the Divine Nature products comes from patented amino acid chelated minerals.  (Patent # 4830716)

Q:  Is there a more technical name for chelated minerals?

A: They are known only as chelated minerals.  Chelation refers to the process of bonding the mineral with the appropriate amino acid to assure bioavailability.

Q:  If a label says chelated minerals, how does the average person know if they are the chelated minerals from Albion Labs?

A: Look for the patent #4830716.

Q:  Is there a difference between inorganic and organic colloidal minerals?

A: Yes.  Either organic or inorganic minerals can be made into a colloid simply by reducing the particle size.

Q:  How do organic and/or inorganic colloidal minerals relate to the issues raised in the “Truth about Colloidal Minerals” paper?

A: Whether the minerals are organic or inorganic has no bearing on the points raised in the paper.  There is no research on colloidal minerals and all minerals have to be chelated to be absorbed by the body.

Q:  What is fructose bonding and what is the specific Albion process?

A: The Albion process is a patented method of bonding amino acids to divalent minerals to produce an organic complex which has maximum absorption at the cellular level.  Fructose can also be bonded to minerals, but has vastly inferior utilization in the body.

Q:  Where does Divine Nature get its Iron?

A: Prior to being completely converted to organic form by combining it with amino acids in the chelation process, the iron is derived from iron ore. So! Basically Iron is a “Rock” or protein molecule that must be first broken down, it is broken down into an amino acid form by the plants that have Enzymes like Protease! (the enzyme that breaks down protein) once broken down the amino acids binds back to each other by legging bonds then it will bind to the mineral. When you have minerals or the Iron bound on both sides you now have a Chelated mineral that can be absorbed into the body on a cellular level.

Q:  In Dr. Joel Wallach’s book “Let’s Play Doctor”, his vitamin list is the same as Divine Nature’s with choline, inositil, and PABA added.  His mineral list for baseline nutritional supplementation adults includes floride, tin and vanadium, but does not include Ni, Si, U, As, B.  and Co as does Divine Nature’s.  Please provide additional information for Divine Nature’s rationale.

A: Many nutritional authorities do include choline, inositol and PABA in the essential nutrient category  However, the status for these compounds is not clear enough to classify them as “vitamins”.  The essential of tin has been the subject of research with no conclusive results.  The exact biochemical function of the other minerals on the Divine Nature’s list (but not on Wallach’s) have been well defined in research.

It should be noted that anything which is ingested and cannot be used by the body is by definition a toxin.  Therefore, any supplement containing 77 minerals must consist mostly of toxic elements.

Q:  What information can Divine Nature give on chromate?  How does it compare to the chromium that Divine Nature uses?

A: Chromate was tested in the same study which revealed the toxicity (mutagenicity) of chromium picolinate and found to be non-toxic.  However, its’ absorption is about the same as the picolinate.  Chromium chelavite is approximately 50% better absorbed than either one.  See Albion Laboratories research.

Q:  How can Divine Nature say that chromium chelavite is the most powerful chromium on the market when you claim 50% more absorbency and chromate claims 300% more?

A: We do not make any claims.  We only cite the research conducted under the sponsorship of Albion Laboratories which shows that the absorption of chromium picolinate and chromium polynicotinate (chromate) are approximately and chromium chelavite is about 50% better than either of them.

Q:  How does calcium citrate compare to calcium chelavite?

A: According to studies at the University of Nebraska, the absorption of calcium citrate is approximately half that of amino acid chelated calcium.

About Nutrients

Q:  What is creatin and how does it affect the body when taken without other nutrients?

A: Creatin is a molecule which is used by the muscles to store energy.  It will not work in the absence of total nutrition.

Q:  Are Medium Chain Triglycerides a form of fat?

A: MCT’s are a type of fat which is a useful source of energy – especially during exercise.  MCT’s are absorbed by a different mechanism than other fats and are allowed to be listed separately.  Most MCT’s have a chain length of 6 to 12 carbons.

Q:  Are MCT’s macronutrients or micronutrients?  If so, are they considered fat, carbohydrate or protein?

A: The FDA labeling regulations simply allow MCT’s to be listed separately from “fat”, but they are part of the calorie content – 180 per bar and are macronutrients.

Q:  If MCT’s are 6-12 carbons in length, what is the length of normal dietary fats?

A: Normal dietary fats have 14-28 carbon atoms in each fatty acid.

Q:  Why can’t insulin be absorbed into the system?  Is it a polypeptide?

A: Insulin is denatured in the stomach acid and is ineffective when taken orally.  It is a polypeptide.

Q:  For whole food substances, is there a way to track what type of concentration a nutrient (such as a vitamin complex) contains?

A: Some data of this type is available from essays which have been done on the whole food ingredients.

Q:  Is decaffeinated coffee or tea acceptable as a beverage?  If not, why not?  How would it affect enzymes?

A: We do not have information on the effects of decaffeinated coffee or tea – only on the negative effects of caffeine.  However, it seems to be a poor choice of beverage when you can choose to drink herbal teas, natural fruit juices or just plain good water.

A: There is no methylene chloride, propyl gallate or silicates in any Divine Nature product.

Q:  Please give me any side effects about Divine Nature products in use with pregnant women.

A: There are no literal contraindications for Divine Nature products in pregnancy.  But there is a general precaution that should be taken with Female Hormone Balance and Energy Clarity.  Both contain Dong Quai, an herb that some herbalists feel should not be taken during pregnancy.  As always, pregnant or lactating women should consult her physician before taking any supplement.

Q:  Does Divine Nature use heat in the production of their products?  Are any of the ingredients “cooked” at all?

A: All of the ingredients which are included in Divine Nature products are cold pressed.  This is very important in that it protects many delicate natural constituents as well as enzymes.

Q:  Has Divine Nature had any experience with its products aggravating a thyroid disease or causing a thyroid condition in anyone?

A: We are not aware of Divine Nature’s products (or any other natural products) causing thyroid disease.  On the contrary, there are many anecdotal reports of improvement in thyroid function by consumers of Divine Nature products.

Q:  Do any of the Divine Nature products help with neurological problems?

A: Any condition may be improved by bringing the body into nutritional balance.  Divine Nature’s nutritional products are designed to do just that.  Specific neurological conditions may only be addressed by an approved Health Professional.  You may have a licensed Health Professional submit specific inquires to us.  They will be forwarded to our Health Professional consultant.

Q:  Where in the Divine Nature literature does it state that the products are organic?

A: The literature states, in many places, that the Divine Nature products are all natural plant sources, with no synthetic or animal ingredients. Divine Nature’s new Fruit and Vegetable powder drink is 100% certified organic and has the certification on the label.

Q:  What is the source of the fructose used by Divine Nature?

A: The fructose in the Divine Nature products comes from corn.  A corn-free source for fructose may be obtained by calling the Whole Food Market in Dallas.

Q:  I understand that the World Health Organization has endorsed the Divine Nature product lines.  Can you verify this and is there any documentation?

A:  NO! The World Health Organization has officially cited our supplier of chelated minerals, Albion Labs, for their work in improving the status of world health through mineral nutrition.  There is a plaque in THEIR offices in Clearfield, Utah.

Q:  Can the remedies referred in the Hidden Killers book be incorporated into an Divine Nature treatment program?

A: The Sanum remedies, as recommended in Hidden Killers and by the Enderlein Enterprises people, are a set of homeopathic drugs.  They have nothing to do with nutrition or with Divine Nature’s health system.  A trained health professional may choose to utilize these remedies along with Divine Nature products, if his/her health license allows him legally to do so, just as he may choose to use other drugs.

Product Comparisons

Q:  How do the Divine Nature’s products compare to Enrich International products?

A: As far as we know, Enrich has a line of products based on herbal medicine.  By contrast Divine Nature products are based on nutritional needs shared by more than 90% of the population.  We utilize only whole food nutritional ingredients and patented Albion amino acid chelated minerals.

Q:  How do the Divine Nature’s products compare to Mannatech’s Food Form vitamins?

A: We are aware of the marketing material on the Mannatech Food Form vitamins.  It appears that they are using a raw material that is usually referred to as “grow process” vitamins, wherin the yeast is grown in the presence of high concentrations of a vitamin so that the yeast is forced to incorporate the vitamin into its tissue structure.  This is somewhat like making blue carnations by soaking the stems in blue dye.  What is missing is all of the natural co-factors that should occur with the vitamin. Divine Nature uses whole foods that are naturally rich in one or more particular vitamins and contain the natural co-factors.

Q:  What information can you provide on Biotics?  How do your products compare to Biotics?

A: Biotics is a very broad line of products which is primarily sold to doctors.  They use mostly synthetic ingredients and take a principally pharmaceutical approach to product formulating rather than a nutritional approach.  They have a strong tendency to sell “fad” products.  Their products are very different from ours, so it is difficult to make a comparison.

Q:  Is Product #21 from NESS the same as Total Digestion?  Were both products formulated by the same individual?

A: There are some similarities between NESS #21 and Total Digestion.  However, Total Digestion offers several improvements:

  1. The enzyme activities are better balanced for general digestion.
  2. Total Digestion uses chelated minerals to assure both activity and bioavailability.
  3. Total Digestion employs some additional enzymes to assure complete digestion of each nutrient group.

Total Digestion also includes the enzyme Alpha Galactosiclase.  Lactose intolerance is another major problem.  This formula contains specific bacteria that make lactase, the enzyme that digests lactose.  Because this formula takes such a complete, multi-pronged approach we feel it is the best digestion formula on the market today.
