Are Supplements Bad For You? - Natural vs Synthetic
A recent study points out the negative affects of supplements which may be leading women to have shorter lifespans than those that don't use supplements. The article did not specifically mention whether or not the supplements were synthetic or actually made from natural vitamin sources, but there is a big difference.
With almost all supplements being synthetic, and a seemingly universal belief that synthetic vitamins are the same as natural supplements, it's no wonder that it was completely unmentioned. According to statistics shown on the website of the CDC, just within the last 10 years, over 50% of all Americans are using dietary supplements. With such little education about the prevalent use of synthetic vitamins referred to as "natural," it's no doubt that the majority are using the cheaper and less effective synthetic supplements.
We could not agree more. Note that she mentions "healthy compounds." Though science has tried to reproduce vitamins for cheaper production, they have never been able to fully recreate the complex and complete compound that is a natural vitamin.
So does using supplements mean you may actually be doing more harm than good? Not necessarily. Although almost all supplements are synthetic, you can still find truly natural supplements. Synthetic vitamins, though possibly started with a "natural" source, are synthesized through chemical reactions and become only the shell of a vitamin. Divine Nature uses only whole food, plant-based ingredients in all our products. Whole food vitamins are truly natural vitamins, not synthetic.
