Soy Protein in Total Nutrition Performance Blend

Posted in Health Articles

Soy protein is used as one of the vegetable sourced proteins in Divine Nature’s Total Nutrition.

Concerns have arisen about the use of Soy in supplements and powdered drinks. The concerns originate from certain studies that show hormonal effects on the system when certain soy foods are ingested in large amounts. The concern is not actually about Soy once you scan the research. The problem comes down to the genetic modification of the soy bean and the detrimental effects this has. Once you take a soy bean or any other food and genetically modify it, you can create disastrous results.

When you keep the food in its natural complete (whole) state, you are then able to receive the full natural benefits from it as Divine Nature does. Divine Nature has never, nor will we ever use Genetically Modified substances in any of our formulas. You can be assured that the protein in Total Nutrition is the most complete, easily assimilated protein available on the market.

Here is some additional information about genetically modified foods and their detrimental effects.

The biotech industry has the power to change the world’s food supply, forever. Dozens of biotech companies (DuPont, Monsanto, Eli Lilly) are field-testing 678 gene-altered crops. One combination includes potatoes spliced with chicken genes, tomatoes spliced with fish genes, corn spliced with virus genes, and pigs spliced with human genes. Thousands of bacteria, insect, and animal combinations are being planned. Bioengineering transgresses the species barrier, a boundary heretofore inviolate.

A second biotech accident has also occurred: researchers inadvertently transferred Brazil nut genes containing an allergen into soybeans.

In 1992, the FDA announced it will not regulate gene-altered foods. Manufacturers may sell bioengineered foods without safety testing or disclosure. With such potential for harm, the FDA’s cavalier attitude is not in the interest of public health. A recent survey found that 85% of Americans want genetically-engineered foods to be labeled. Labeling confers information and accountability; lack of labeling encourages abuse.

Divine Nature will always bring to the customer the finest formulas available. It is true that some people who are not fully informed might question the use of Soy or other ingredients but we are more concerned with the end result of our formulas and the long term relationship with our customers who take the time to become educated on these issues.
